　　Luisa has a habit of bringing her dates home, irritating her son, Cesar. When Cesar invites his best friend Pablo over for a sleepover, Luisa__APOS__s flirtations become too much to bear, especially as Cesar has his own feelings towards Pablo.

　　一段跨界之爱，照亮两个年轻的生命。青涩的巴勒斯坦大学生尼莫（尼古拉斯·雅各布 Nicholas Jacob 饰）暗中潜入以色列，在特拉维夫的同志酒吧邂逅了帅气逼人的律师罗伊（迈克尔·阿洛尼 Michael Aloni 饰）。当尼莫取得学生签证可以合法出入以色列后，他和罗伊迅速陷入一段难以自拔的热恋中。然 而随着感情升温，阻力也随之而来。对尼莫来说，巴勒斯坦不耻他的性取向，以色列不承认他的身份；由于有一个激进暴力的哥哥，他更被以色列特工部门列入黑名单，签证也因此被吊销。罗伊倾尽所能为尼莫奔走，却遭到来自官方的恐吓；而尼莫的秘密也似乎被家人窥破，生命陷入空前危险中。这份暗夜中的爱情最终能否冲破阻碍、拥抱光明？

　　片中叙述的是抗日战争时期，新婚不久便“守寡”的果儿（张镝饰演）在逃亡途中被猎户高满山（战卫华饰演）搭救，日久生情，俩人结为夫妻。后来高满山救了一位负伤的八路军战士，果儿认出他就是三年前“死去”的丈夫李顺红（李明阳饰演）。一时间三个人陷入感情纠葛之中，但民族大义最终战胜了儿女情长。

　　1898年的加拿大，克朗代克淘金热正持续燃烧。夏末之时，艾米莉·迈耶（妮娜·霍斯）与六位同样来自德国的移民一道，从铁路最北端的阿什克罗夫特火车站出发，向着不久前发现金矿的育空地区道森市进发。为了节省开支，这些毫无经验的淘金者选择了一条从南向北横穿全国的路线。但在路上他们发现，途中地形复杂，自然条件十分严酷。七人集团也在途中逐渐分崩离析......

　　马其家是镇上一个普通家庭，父亲在外打仗，留下坚强的妻子和四个女儿。Meg十六岁，俨然一个窈窕淑女。Jo（薇瑞娜•赖德）十五岁，喜爱写作，发表的文章为家里付清了各种费用。Beth温柔乖巧，羞怯地爱好着钢琴。Amy最小也最漂亮，也有点 爱出风头。马其太太的坚强给了四个女儿力量，她们时常接济贫穷的居民，圣诞节也不例外。当她们的邻居劳伦斯先生听说此事后便准备了丰富的晚餐给这群可爱的小妇人们。
　　而劳伦斯的孙子劳里也跟Jo成为了好朋友，成为了马其家的一员。他的家庭教师约翰爱上了Meg，Beth在照顾生病的邻居孩子时感染上了猩红热，在最危险的时候，去华盛顿照顾受伤父亲的妈妈回来了，把父亲也带回来，他们一家团聚。
　　四年后，Meg和约翰终于喜结连理，大学毕业的劳里也向Jo求婚，却惨遭拒绝，打击太大的他愤而离家，辗转欧洲，偶遇在欧洲旅游的Amy，此时的Amy早已改掉了虚荣的毛病，她对劳里的关切打动了劳里的心，他们决定结婚。然而此时却传来了Beth病危的消息，还没赶到家Beth已经离开了大家。
　　心灰意冷的Jo去了纽约，认识了她生命中的真命天子。

　　上世纪60年代，在密西西比州，黑佣艾比里恩（维奥拉•戴维斯 Viola Davis 饰）勤勤恳恳照顾女主人的女儿，后者因产后抑郁症只顾与闺蜜贪欢。密西西比大学毕业生斯基特（艾玛•斯通 Emma Stone 饰）在报社负责家庭主妇信箱，并由此开始黑佣的生存状态。其中，希利（布莱丝•达拉斯•霍华德 Bryce Dallas Howard 饰）无疑是反面教材，她态度傲慢，对黑佣米妮（奥克塔维亚•斯宾瑟 Octavia Spencer 饰）抱有偏见，并力主黑佣不能与主人共用厕所。最终因不堪受辱，米妮愤然离去，并以牙还牙，假借道歉之机让她蒙羞。斯基特开始采访艾比里恩和米妮，希望了解黑佣的生存状态，并为自己的新书积累素材。与此同时，马丁路德金领导的平权运动正在如火如荼地开展，而斯基特所在的密西西比州正是斗争的前沿，因为黑人遭射杀的血案，种族隔离开始，一场肤色之争在所难免……

　　马库斯（Richard Gibson 饰）邀请自己的同学兼好友雷欧（多米尼克·格尔德Dominic Guard 饰）到自己家去玩，就这样，雷欧结识了马库斯的姐姐玛丽安（朱莉·克里斯蒂 Julie Christie 饰），美丽又善良的玛丽安给雷欧留下了非常深刻的印象。马库斯得了传染病，没办法陪雷欧玩了，雷欧就此结识了名为泰德（阿兰·贝茨 Alan Bates 饰）的农夫，泰德拜托雷欧帮他送信给玛丽安，雷欧答应了他。
　　之后，雷欧和退伍军人修斯（爱德华·福克斯 Edward Fox 饰）交上了朋友，并且震惊的得知，玛丽安的家人准备将她许配给修斯，不仅如此，雷欧还意外的发现，自己帮泰德和玛丽安送的那些信件，其实是他们的情书。

　　正婉（李泰兰 饰）和熙秀（李美妍 饰）是相识多年的好友，然而，两人的性格和生活境遇却截然相反。正婉至今未婚，因为她享受着一段又一段恋情带给她的新鲜感和刺激感，她热心的追求着自己的事业，将此当做人生中最终要的事，在事业面前，婚姻、家庭、孩子都可以靠后站。
　　熙秀则恰恰相反，她很早就结了婚，放弃了工作一心扑在家庭中，宽裕的经济让她可以尽情的追求高质量的生活，熙秀的身边，一切都是那么的精致和服帖。一个是大大咧咧不修边幅的工作狂，一个是吃饭穿衣极其讲究的家庭主妇，两个女人走到一起，会碰撞出怎样耀眼的智慧火花呢？

　　一个来自市中心贫民区、在斯诺克上颇有天赋的孩子，一时头脑发热，卷入犯罪。当偶遇一位陌生人时，他得到了一个扭转命运的机会。但这是否为时已晚？
　　斯宾塞•普莱德，这名颇具天资的斯诺克选手选择挥霍他的天赋，和他的朋友一道鬼混，并不时犯下小罪。但当事情开始失控，他回到了给予他安全感的避难所——当地的一所斯诺克俱乐部。在那里，他偶遇了一名陌生的中国人，文森特•强，这次邂逅将一个扭转命运的机会摆在了他的眼前。强是八球前世界冠军，他做起了斯宾塞的教练，让斯宾塞向着成为职业选手的目标前进。然而为了赢得新生活，斯宾塞需要脱离他的朋友圈子，脱离他所处的环境，脱离他现在的生活中一切消极的因素，他能够做到吗？

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family__APOS__s history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it__APOS__s the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family__APOS__s world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe__APOS__s clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.
