　　1927年，我地下党员钱壮飞化装成医生，离开北平，转移到上海。
　　钱壮飞一家到了上海以后，他本人与党失去了联系。此时，他却获得了同乡、国民党中央秘书科陈立夫的表弟徐恩曾的赏识。徐邀请钱壮飞加入中央党务调查科。不久，钱壮飞与组织取得了联系。中央批准了钱壮飞要求打入敌人内部长期潜伏的计划。
　　在国民党的秘密机构，钱壮飞逐步取得了徐恩曾的信任，破译了重要的密报，成功地瓦解了由于顾顺章叛变导致的国民党队上海地下组织的突袭，自己也安全的撤离了上海，前往中央苏区参加红军。

　　In the early 1920s, Georges Laffont (Romain Duris), traumatised by the horrific trench warfar, decides to leave his life behind and travel to West Africa into the vast territories of Upper Volta in the company of Diofo, artist and also survivor of the Great War. From village to village, Georges uses Diofo__APOS__s talents as a griot to recruit the villagers as labour for plantations in Ghana.
　　But his adventure leads him to a dead-end, and he comes back to Paris where is brother Marcel (Grégory Gadebois), a war invalid, lives with their mother__APOS__s. After the war in Europe, life went out without him.
　　Georges will desperately try to find his place, with the help of Hélène (Céline Salette), a sign language teacher with whom he will have a tumultuous relationship, and his family, that he selfishly left behind.

　　影片由 悬疑推理大师Patricia Highsmith（海史密斯.帕特里夏）1962年的小说改编而成，Considine在片中饰演的男主角搬到Stile所在的郊区小镇上，并开始暗中监视她。Speedman在片中饰演Stile被甩的前男友，他谋划报复Stile时发现事情变得越来越复杂……

　　影片讲述了县剧团的小名角彩云到上海寻找“明星梦”的故事。彩云在上海投靠了从小青梅竹马的朋友——担任摄影助理的阿伟之后，突然明白大上海是如此千变万化的世界，阿伟也只能住在即将拆迁的房子里。梦想变得遥不可及，但是阿伟却在理想主义潘导演的影响下，拍摄着老电影人赵丹和黄宗英的纪录片。赵丹和黄宗英对于电影的热爱，以及俩人在拍电影时产生的爱情，这些都对应着彩云与阿伟之间的生活和爱情。

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family__APOS__s history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it__APOS__s the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family__APOS__s world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe__APOS__s clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 　　原版以作为漫画家残酷的业为主题，描绘在经历压倒性的空虚感这一极限状态后才出现的人气漫画家的真实姿态。
