　　民国九年，父亲没有顾及女儿的反对，执意让孝芸嫁入权尊势重的童家。然而，一桩桩诡异蹊跷的怪事却接踵而至。行迹鬼魅的二太太，相继惨死的管家和家丁，不祥逐渐笼罩着这个千年的古宅大院。众人都认为是孝芸给这个家族带来不安和惶恐，童家少爷却对孝芸倾力保护。随着逐渐揭开的内幕，孝芸发现几年前多人罹难的戏班大火，和这个世代相传的家族有着悄然的联系。原来，在这个钟鸣鼎食的家族背后，隐藏着一段让人唏嘘扼腕的爱恨情仇。

　　Emilia, 17, arrives at her Aunt Ines__APOS__ hostel at the border between Argentina and Brazil, looking for her long lost brother. In this luxuriant jungle, where local myths and legends abound, a dangerous beast believed to be the spirit of an evil man taking the form of different animals seems to be roaming around. On a journey to sexual awakening, Emilia will have to confront her past in order to kill the beast.

　　人物小传：
　　车远山：男性，25岁左右、年轻的刑部侍郎，世代名门之后，外表英俊年轻有为，妻为丽阳公主深受皇帝及实力派皇子的信任负责捕获鲛人。但却深深地爱上了鲛人王子漪下，车的出场以硬汉形象示人其天性高傲、固执、少言寡语、做事雷厉风行。
　　丽阳公主：女性，24岁左右、皇帝宠女，夫妻情深爱车胜过一切。端庄、温婉、大气、美丽，时刻透露出贵族气息，识大体。但内心刚强为爱不惜牺牲一切。
　　漪下：男性，25岁左右、实际年龄180岁，鲛人国王子，国家发生动乱后与支持者流落中原，单纯善良执着是其最大的性格特点，拥有者世间少有的绝世美貌。
　　龙骨离：男性，24岁左右、龙兽王子，控制鲛人国的大反派。龙人出售鲛人国的眼泪和棉织物给人类谋利进而使自己达到掌控鲛人国的目的，性格，阴险、狠毒、狡猾、贪婪，是他的内心。表面真诚、温和。
　　韩王：男性，26岁左右、丽阳公主的哥哥，太子热门人选，娇宠的皇子，车远山儿时的玩伴，长大后因身份差距有了疏离。性格好色、耳根软、容易亲信谗言、没主见。
　　岑孝：男性，25岁左右、车远山贴身助手、长相英俊帅气、对主人忠心耿耿、高智商。
　　晚晴：女性，25岁左右、丽阳公主贴身丫鬟、长相漂亮、内心喜欢韩王、心思缜密但对丽阳公主很忠心。

　　片中叙述的是抗日战争时期，新婚不久便“守寡”的果儿（张镝饰演）在逃亡途中被猎户高满山（战卫华饰演）搭救，日久生情，俩人结为夫妻。后来高满山救了一位负伤的八路军战士，果儿认出他就是三年前“死去”的丈夫李顺红（李明阳饰演）。一时间三个人陷入感情纠葛之中，但民族大义最终战胜了儿女情长。

　　上世纪60年代，在密西西比州，黑佣艾比里恩（维奥拉•戴维斯 Viola Davis 饰）勤勤恳恳照顾女主人的女儿，后者因产后抑郁症只顾与闺蜜贪欢。密西西比大学毕业生斯基特（艾玛•斯通 Emma Stone 饰）在报社负责家庭主妇信箱，并由此开始黑佣的生存状态。其中，希利（布莱丝•达拉斯•霍华德 Bryce Dallas Howard 饰）无疑是反面教材，她态度傲慢，对黑佣米妮（奥克塔维亚•斯宾瑟 Octavia Spencer 饰）抱有偏见，并力主黑佣不能与主人共用厕所。最终因不堪受辱，米妮愤然离去，并以牙还牙，假借道歉之机让她蒙羞。斯基特开始采访艾比里恩和米妮，希望了解黑佣的生存状态，并为自己的新书积累素材。与此同时，马丁路德金领导的平权运动正在如火如荼地开展，而斯基特所在的密西西比州正是斗争的前沿，因为黑人遭射杀的血案，种族隔离开始，一场肤色之争在所难免……

　　兀琪•奥伯迈耶（Natalia Avelon 饰），六十年代德国一个狂野和自由的灵魂。因为无法忍受家中保守和压抑的环境，她和好友萨比那（Friederike Kempter 饰）离开家乡，来到柏林，并加入了倡导裸体主义和性解放的第一公社。兀琪余公社内的海因纳（Matthias Schweighöfer 饰）相恋、分手，旋即又以模特身份进军柏林时尚界。在此之后，兀琪又与探险家伯克弘恩（David Scheller 饰）和摇滚歌手斯通•基斯（Mila da Veela 饰）相继坠入爱河。

　　秋秋的父母在她6岁那年离了婚，母亲潘玉兰和名叫关正光的男人组成了家庭，而秋秋则跟着父亲阿满生活。因为非常的想念母亲，阿满将秋秋送到潘玉兰家，哪知道关正光突然返回家中，见到秋秋和潘玉兰产生了激烈的争吵，秋秋明白自己是这场争吵的核心，黯然的离开了母亲家。
　　工厂里的杨春娘爱上了老实肯干的阿满，两人最终走到了一起，阿满隐瞒了秋秋是自己女儿的事实，这一切让秋秋无意之中得知了，悲伤和失望之中，她选择了离家出走。秋秋被送到了乡下交给阿满的父母照料，但是两个老人年岁已高实在无力帮扶，秋秋只得又返回潘玉兰处。

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family__APOS__s history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it__APOS__s the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family__APOS__s world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe__APOS__s clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 　　爱丽丝知道斯坦利是一个非常善良的男人，于是鼓励他学习识字，在此过程中，两人之间的距离慢慢靠近。就在他们终于真情流露之际，斯坦利获得了一个到外地赚大钱的机会，他向爱丽丝允诺，两年后一定会回来找她。
