Everything seems to be going well until he-who-must-not-be-named comes back into her life. Leo (Alex González), the love and biggest mistake of her life, the man who tore her heart apart, obliterated her self-esteem and her faith in men, comes back into her life to turn everything upside down. Maca has tried to forget him, but now she has to accept that he has returned and face the emotions she has locked away to deal with the unforgettable memory of what could have been and never was. 　　This apocalyptic parable carries within it a clear echo of the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia. This unforgiving exploration of the Czech mentality tells the tale of a troupe of wandering actors who perform a passion play in some unnamed village. Fear of some unknown danger breaks out in the village, which is cut off from the surrounding world. Stupidity, selfishness and aggressiveness then come to the surface in this society under threat. In the film__APOS__s key scene, a woman is raped by the self-styled leader. Zdenuk Mahler, who would later work on Forman__APOS__s examination Mozart Amadeus, worked on the script.
　　The director Evald Schorm (1929-1988) was one of the most original members of the Czech __QUOTE__New Wave__QUOTE__. During the __QUOTE__normalization__QUOTE__ era, Schorm spent many years unable to direct. His last film, Killing with Kindness (1988) was only made in the twilight years of Communism. During that period when he was unable to direct films, he became an outstanding stage director. He directed groundbreaking productions at the __QUOTE__Na zábradlí__QUOTE__ Theater and Laterna Magika.

　　影片描写刚从电影学院毕业的学生阿格涅什卡，雄心勃勃，立志拍一部以50年代劳动模范砖瓦工人布尔库特为主角的传记性记录片作为自己的毕业论文。为了弄清楚主人公是如何成为劳动模范，后来被控告判罪，而最终又恢复名誉的曲折传奇的一生，阿格涅什卡进行了大量的调查和资料的搜集，还访问了当时历史发生时的一些关键人物。最后她找到布尔科特的儿子，得知这位曾经被称为大理石人的英雄已经死了。就连公墓的墓碑上都没有留下布尔库特的名字。“在格但斯克造船厂工人骚动期间，布尔库特丧了命。人们再也找不到他的任何痕迹。从此，大理石人就成了一个幽灵。”
　　影片的题材颇为大胆，收场对主人公命运的说明曾遭剪刀伺候。旨在通过一个国家宣传机器制造模范工人的神话，揭露了压制自由的体制对人性的摧残和对纯真百姓的欺骗，用纪录片的风格展现了一个冷酷的现实，让人联想到70年代的状况。本片导致瓦依达多年被禁止拍片，但在数年后仍然拍出了续集（铁人）。

　　一介贫民仁杰（刘家辉）为惩罚平时靠鱼肉百姓过日子的恶霸高峰（王龙威），假扮三德和尚对其展开攻势，不想被对方识破反遭一顿痛殴。其后，仁杰来到少林寺请求三德和尚传授功夫，但不被对方作正眼旁观。
　　有感于仁杰的诚心，三德和尚最终允许他留在少林寺，但不教授功夫，只让他负责搭棚修葺的工作。仁杰在工作之余，不忘初来志愿，见缝插针恳求三德和尚收他为徒，终惹怒对方，在对方的示意下，仁杰明白搭棚亦是少林功夫的一种，从此刻苦学习。

　　A young boy mourns the loss of his newborn brother when the baby dies. At the baby__APOS__s wake, the child is given paper wings to symbolize his union with the angels of heaven. The funeral takes place after the wake turns into a drunken affair. When the baby__APOS__s paper wings are left behind, the boy tries to give the wings back to his dead brother for fear the child will not go to heaven. The young boy also saves a pigeon from being tortured at the hands of other sadistic children in this feature heavy with symbolic and religious overtones.

　　帕布罗·拉雷恩的这部独特的传记电影聚焦这段历史，巧妙地将史实与虚拟情节混合在一起。电影中，聂鲁达被一位叫做奥斯卡·佩鲁乔诺的警探追捕，后者誓要将诗人捉拿归案，他的叙述以画外音的形式贯穿全片。

　　作为纪录电影大师弗拉哈迪的“毛利族三部曲”的最后一部（此前两部为《摩阿拿》和《南海白影》），影片讴歌了生死不渝的爱情，真实生动地反映了毛利人反对迷信和等级制度的斗争，有着鲜明的记录化风格，受到热烈欢迎。弗拉哈迪原著的本意是要拍一部表现毛利人社会生活的记录片，而茂瑙的不断修改则为其注入了更多的情节因素，招致弗拉哈迪的反对。在意见不合的情况下弗拉哈迪离开了摄制组，茂瑙不得不独立完成余下的工作。后来，弗拉哈迪也承认，在这部影片里，茂瑙有着更多的贡献。《禁忌》获第4届奥斯卡最佳摄影金像奖。
